Do you have a number of Profoto modifiers, and are you looking to jump into video work? Then you've likely come to find out that most video lights are Bowens mount. This modifier fixes that problem by converting those lights into a Profoto standard mount, allowing you to use your Profoto modifiers on all video lights. They're extremely durable, handle the heat from an LED well (up to 1000w lights comfortably), and fit on every light I've tested them on.

Because of their low-profile design, these are designed to work best with softboxes and other Profoto modifiers, without altering the beam pattern of the light. They're also designed for temperatures under 300°F, meaning this is specifically designed for LED lights of 1000W and lower. Please look at your lights' operating temperature before use. Mount has been tested and comfortably holds modifiers up to 15lbs.

How To Use

To use the Bowens to Profoto mount adapter, you'll first want to connect the adapter ring to the Bowens light, and then attach the Profoto modifier of your choice. The fit on both ends is very tight, to assure a lifetime of use.

Product is designed for use with lighting modifiers with ventilation, so it's recommended to use on softboxes, hard reflectors, and other modifiers that offer heat ventilation. It is not recommended for use with the Profoto Spot Small or other modifiers that offer no ventilation.

Please remove modifier from adapter ring when not in use.

What are These Made From?

These rings are printed using a Nylon Glass Fiber composite that offers heat resistance beyond 180-degrees Celsius. They are designed to have exceptional durability, and heat resistance for virtually all LED lights 1000W and under on the market today.

Won't my Light Get Too Hot for This?

To put it simply, no, this should be able to handle your light without any problems for any LED units under 1000 watts in power. This has been tested with several lights ranging from 200W to 1200W in power for several hour testing, and performed without any issues. However, each light brand if designed differently, so look up your lights specifications before use.

This ring is designed to handle LED lights 1000w and below for continual use. Unit handles temperatures up to 375° F (190° C), but use your discretion before use. Speedring can get hot during use, and is recommended to power off when not in use.
