Convert your Video Lights to Work with Profoto Lighting Modifiers

Do you have a number of Profoto modifiers, and are you looking to jump into video work? Then you've likely come to find out that most video lights are Bowens mount. This modifier fixes that problem by converting those lights into Profoto standard mount, allowing you to use your Profoto modifiers on all video lights. They're extremely durable, handle the heat from an LED well (up to 1500w lights comfortably), and fit on every light I've tested them on.

Because of their low profile design, these are designed to work best with softboxes and other Profoto modifiers, without altering the beam pattern of the light. They're also designed for lights under 300°F in temperature, meaning this is designed specifically for LED lights 1500W and lower. Please look at your lights' operating temperature before use. Mount has been tested and comfortably hold modifiers up to 15lbs.

Made out of high-quality nylon, these adapters are designed to last a lifetime and are extremely durable.

Was really worried that this was going to melt, as the LED on my Aputure Storm 1000C gets really hot after long use. However, much to my surprise, this ring held up great! The speedring gets really got, but the ring is able to shield itself from the high temps based on it's short design. I'd love to be able to zoom the light in and out a bit like you can on Profoto, but I get why it's not designed to do that � you don't want it blocking the light too much. Really smart product, and helps me out considerably while I shoot both photo and video work.

These work great and I'm probably going to order another 1 or 2 in the next week or so. Heads up to those looking to buy one though, be careful when handling it after the light has been on. The adapter doesn't get super hot, but the metal on Profoto speedrings do...

How To Use

To use the Bowens to Profoto mount adapter, you'll first want to connect the adapter ring to the Bowens light, and then attach the Profoto modifier of your choice. The fit on both ends is very tight, to assure a lifetime of use.

Product is designed for use with lighting modifiers with ventilation, so it's recommended to use on softboxes, hard reflectors, and other modifiers that offer heat ventilation. It is not recommended for use with the Profoto Spot Small or other modifiers that offer no ventilation.

Please remove modifier from adapter ring when not in use.
